Weekly roundup of science fiction and fantasy shows (as well as movies/specials of note) on the Prime Time TV schedule, also including programs that may be of interest to genre fans. Air dates and times subject to change without notice.
The Fall premieres slow down this week, but there are still several new and returning shows of note. On Tuesday, The CW’s Arrow returns for its eighth final season as that show leads into this year’s Crisis on Infinite Earths cross-over event. Also on Tuesday, USA’s The Purge returns for its second season (the premiere will be simulcast on Syfy). On Wednesday, the second season of YouTube’s Impulse will be available for streaming. And on Sunday, HBO’s Watchmen joins a crowded night for genre television with its first season premiere (see trailer below). On Monday, AMC’s The Terror has its second season finale. And on Saturday, Syfy adds another critters-run-amok film to its repertoire with the appropriately titled Critters Attack! For those interested, here is the description:
20-year-old Drea hopes to get on the good side of a professor from the college she hopes to attend by babysitting for said professor. She has trouble keeping the children busy, so she takes them on a hike. There, they encounter a group of alien critters.
