Ratings Results of Interest: On Sunday, AMC’s supernatural drama NOS4A2 returned for its second season posting a 0.12 rating based on same-day viewing for the 18-49 demographic with 455K total viewers. That is down notably from its average last season of a 0.20 rating, which was already on the low side. This show will be starting out its second year On the Bubble. Over on TNT, Snowpiercer slipped a bit to 0.25 rating with 955K total viewer viewers, but that one has already been renewed for a second season. On Showtime, Penny Dreadful: City of Angels improved slightly to a 0.04 rating with 380K total viewers, but it prospects for a second season continue to look grim.

Solar Opposites (Hulu, Streaming, Status – Renewed): Coming as no surprise, Hulu has renewed this series for a third season. The show is currently in its first season and the second season renewal was made in advance of its premiere. Hulu indicated last month that the show is its top original comedy and it was the second-most-watched show on the streaming service during its premiere week.
The Order (Netflix, Season Ended, Status – Renewal Possible): This show did not receive a lot of attention in its first year, but it did manage to get a second season renewal. Netflix has been in the cancelling mode lately, though, so it is uncertain if this one will survive to a third year. And if it does, the streamer tends to cap off its shows around the third or fourth season these days.
