Weekly roundup of science fiction and fantasy shows (as well as movies/specials of note) on the Prime Time TV schedule, also including programs that may be of interest to genre fans. Air dates and times subject to change without notice.
Mid-Season is upon us and four shows are returning to the schedule this week. On Monday, NBC’s Manifest returns for its second season premiere (see trailer below). Then on Tuesday, ABC’s Emergence returns from its Winter hiatus. On Thursday, NBC’s The Good Place and CBS’ Evil both resume new episodes as well. The CW will be rerunning the first three parts of Crisis on Infinite Earths this week leading up to the conclusion on January 14th. On Monday, Part 1 airs (an episode of Supergirl) followed by the Crisis Aftermath after-show. On Tuesday, Part 2 airs (a Batwoman ep) followed by the Black Lightning episode that links into the cross-over. The Flash episode that acts as the third part airs next Monday. Also of note, Star Wars: Resistance will air back-to-back episodes on Sunday as that one heads toward its series finale. Schedule Notes: If a show is listed as On Hiatus, that means that it is taking a break of more than two episodes in a row. If a streaming series is included in the listings after its premiere date, then it releases new episodes once per week on that day as opposed to releasing its entire season at one time.
