As the assaults become more cunning, coordinated and ferocious, he is thrust into the race to unlock the mystery of the pandemic before there’s no place left for people to hide. CBS.com

Why Was It Cancelled? This show’s ratings were down notably in its third season and it seemed certainly to be headed to cancellation which CBS confirmed with an October cancellation announcement.  However, that network’s other Summer series Salvation, which had approximately the same ratings average, received a renewal nod.  Both shows have streaming deals (Netflix for Zoo and Amazon for Salvation) that make them profitable for CBS on the front end, so it seems like both should have received renewals.  Zoo is more expensive to produce, though, so perhaps that factored into the decision.  But I expect that the show’s fans will be lobbying streaming partner Netflix to give it at least a fourth season if not more.

It returns this Summer for its second season. Look for it to premiere sometime in early July.

I started out really liking this show, but it has gone so far afield it has become ridiculous in what is now happening. I hope they wrap it up and give it a merciful death.

I love this show and I think after watching it from the very first episode it is absolutely brilliant, different, unexpected, and unlike a lot of rubbish that is put on. If you want to finish the show fine but at least give the people who have watched it an ending, give it one more season and an outcome. To leave it like this is most unfair to the public who have stuck with it and watched all the episodes, or don’t we matter????? ………….

I love Zoo!! It’s one of the three network series I watch on what’s otherwise dreadful tv. I purchased the first three seasons and will happily buy season four
