New Status Update (Feedback Requested)

Posting has resumed on this site in a limited capacity, as previously indicated, and it will likely continue that way going forward. I am keeping the core focus of the site, covering cancelled and renewed shows and looking at which ones are in danger and which ones appear to be headed to renewal. I am also maintaining the sci fi schedules which provide a look at all the genre entries currently on the broadcast networks, cable channels, and streaming services, as well as what is coming up. I may expand back into reviews and other posts at some point in the future, but currently I am concentrating mostly on the core content that seems to drive most people to this site. As for Cult-SciFi.com, that one is business as usual for now, though the frequency of posting is down.

You may have noticed more ads on this site and AxiomsEdgeSciFi.com recently as I am experimenting with a new service to help drive in some revenue. These were admittedly a bit intrusive at first, so I have dialed them back and may make some more adjustments in the next week or so based on feedback. I do need to make enough revenue to cover costs, and the feedback so far suggests that visitors are willing to tolerate the ads if they are not too bad. I will also be attempting a funding drive either later in the year or early January, and if that is successful, I could dial back the ads even more. And if more people sign up for the free newsletter (enter your email below, and get a free book offer), that can help attract some sponsors and potentially keep the ads on the sites down.

My main focus at the moment is the Axiom’s Edge Renegade Sci fi & Fantasy Magazine which is targeting a December release. I have received some very strong submissions for that so far, and everything is coming together quite nicely at this point. As for the AxiomsEdgeSciFi.com website, I have limited posting there now and may be expanding on that in the coming months.

In the meantime, I am still soliciting feedback, and I am including below the same questions as I had in the previous post (with two new ones) to help me understand what people are willing to support and not willing to support to keep CancelledSciFi.com and AxiomsEdgeSciFi.com going. The responses have been generally positive on the newsletter (though I am not seeing enough new subscribers), but not so much on paid content (thus the reason for the ads). If you have not already, respond to the questions below (don’t miss the new ones), and add any suggestions and recommendations you may have in the comments below. I do hope to keep these sites going and that the magazine will start a whole new path forward, but I at least need to make sure I am covering my costs while providing coverage of the sci fi and fantasy genres that keeps people coming back.
