Digital Ratings: Cabinet of Curiosities Enters the Netflix Top 10, House of the Dragon Remains at Number 1, and More

Digital Ratings: Viewership results for the sci fi and fantasy shows on the streaming services. See our Cancellation Watch posts for the linear ratings from the broadcast networks and cable shows.

Netflix Top 10:

Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities entered the Netflix Top 10 for English language shows for the week of October 24th to 30th. That was its debut week and it placed at Number 3 with 50 million hours viewed. Your guess is as good as mine on whether it will be renewed, though, seeing how Fate: The Winx Saga was sent to the Network Executioner after spending 5 weeks in the charts. Also entering the chart that week was The Bastard Son & the Devil Himself which placed at Number 7 with fourteen million hours viewed. In the Top 10 for Non-English Language shows, the time-traveling Spanish drama If Only premiered at Number 8 with nine million hours viewed. Following are all the sci fi and fantasy TV shows on the Netflix charts for the week (the number in parenthesis is the prior week rank):

Netflix Top 10 for the Week of Oct-24 to Oct-30

English Language Shows
3 (n/a) Cabinet of Curiosities 50.0 Million Hours
7 (n/a) The Bastard Son & the Devil Himself 13.8 Million Hours

Non-English Language Shows

Nielsen Streaming Top 10

Prime Video’s The Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power held at Number 2 in the Nielsen Top 10 for streaming originals for the week of October 3rd to 9th. That show tallied another 988 million minutes viewed and it has been renewed for a second season. The Midnight Club debuted at Number 9 with 400 million minutes viewed and it is a Netflix entry so its fate may be determined by where the dart lands on the board. Disney+’s She-Hulk (Renewal Possible) improved to Number 7 with 454 million minutes while Andor (Renewed) slipped to Number 10 with 356 million minutes. Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale (Renewed) slipped to Number 9 with 410 million minutes viewed. Pennyworth Season 3 had its debut that week on HBO Max but did not make it into the Nielsen Streaming Top 10.

In the rankings for acquired shows, House of the Dragon held at Number 1 with 921 million minutes viewed the week after it wrapped up its first season while Game of Thrones slipped to Number 7 with 570 million minutes. Following are all the sci fi and fantasy TV shows on the streaming charts for the week (the number in parenthesis is the prior week rank):
