Sci Fi/Fantasy TV Shows Premiering This Week
This is the final week of the Summer season and it brings two premieres, one on the streaming services and one on the cable channels.
See (Season 2 Premieres on Apple TV+ August 27th): In season 2, Baba Voss (Jason Momoa) struggles to reunite his family. His estranged brother Edo (Dave Bautista) has captured Baba’s daughter Haniwa, vowing to exact his revenge against his brother. Meanwhile, the threat of war looms between the Kingdom of Paya and the Trivantian Republic, drawing Baba and his family directly into the center of the conflict. Season 2 premieres on Friday and the show will release on ep per week.
American Horror Story (Season 11 Premieres on FX August 25th): In American Horror Story: Double Feature a struggling writer, his pregnant wife, and their daughter move to an isolated beach town for the winter. As they settle in, the town’s true residents make themselves known. Season 11 premiers on Wednesday at 10 PM EST.
Schedule Notes
Also this week, two shows will be returning from Hiatus. On Tuesday on The CW, Supergirl is back in the 9 PM EST timeslot to wrap up its sixth and final season. And on Sunday on Paramount+, Evil starts streaming new episodes again to wrap up its second season. On Wednesday on Freeform, Motherland Fort Salem has its second season finale.
