Sci Fi/Fantasy TV Shows Premiering This Week
The eleventh and final season of AMC’s The Walking Dead premieres this week on Sunday. That twenty-four episode season will be broken into three 8-ep parts. The first kicks off this week with the others airing in 2022.
The Walking Dead (Season 11 Premieres on AMC August 22nd): All who live in Alexandria struggle to refortify it and feed its increasing number of residents, which include the survivors from the fall of the Kingdom and the burning of Hilltop; along with Maggie and her new group, the Wardens. Alexandria has more people than it can manage to feed and protect. Their situation is dire as tensions heat up over past events and self-preservation rises to the surface within the ravaged walls.
Schedule Notes
On Tuesday, The CW’s Superman & Lois will have its first season finale. That show has been renewed for a second year, and Supergirl will be taking up the Tuesday 9 PM EST timeslot next week to finish out its sixth and final season.
