Sci Fi/Fantasy TV Shows Premiering This Week
This week brings one premiere with the animated Marvel series MODOK kicking off on Hulu on Friday. And then on Tuesday, The CW’s Superman & Lois resumes new episodes.
MODOK (Hulu): An egomaniacal super villain struggles to maintain control of his evil organization after it is bought by a multinational tech company, all while juggling the needs of his demanding family. All episodes will be available for streaming on Friday.
Superman & Lois (CW): Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) reconsiders his decision to let Jordan (Alex Garfin) play football. Meanwhile, Lois’ (Elizabeth Tulloch) continued investigation of Morgan Edge (Adam Rayner) requires her to trust an unexpected ally. This show resumes new episodes on Tuesday at 9 PM EST.
Other Schedule Notes
With The CW’s Superman & Lois returning to the schedule, Supergirl goes on hiatus. That show will resume new episodes later in Summer (current return date is set for August 24th). HBO’s The Nevers is getting its first season split into two six-episode segments. The first part wrapped up this past week, and it will return for its second half later in the year (a return date has not been set yet). Also of note, Final Space has an encore run of third season episodes on TBS on Mondays at 10:30 PM, airing a month after they debut on Adult Swim.
