Sci Fi/Fantasy TV Shows Premiering This Week
This week brings one more genre entry to the schedule as Netflix’s fantasy series Shadow and Bone has its premiere on Friday.
Shadow and Bones (Netflix): Sinister forces plot against a young soldier when she reveals a magical power that might unite her world. Based on Leigh Bardugo’s Grishaverse novels. The first season premieres on Friday with all episodes available for streaming.
Other Schedule Notes
Wrapping up this week is Apple TV+’s For All Mankind which releases its season finale episode on Friday. That show has already been renewed for a third season. Also, the six-part The Falcon and The Winter Soldier streams its final installment on Friday. There is no word yet on whether that one will continue for a second season. I had not previously included The CW’s new series Kung Fu on the schedule as I thought that would be more of an action-adventure drama. But it does appear that it will bring fantasy elements into its stories, so I have added it to the listings. Note that most of the other CW shows this week are in repeats or are preempted.
