Breaking News: FX Has Renewed What We Do in the Shadows for a Third Season

FX has given a third season order for the horror-comedy What We Do in the Shadows, which is based on the 2014 film of the same name. The news does not come as a huge surprise as the show returned this Spring with same-day ratings higher than its average for the first season. Those have tapered off some the last few weeks, but it is still doing well enough for a basic cable series these days.  Including digital viewing on the FX platform and next day on Hulu, the show has averaged 3.2 million viewers so far this year according to the network.  It will have its second season finale on June 10th.

What We Do in the Shadows is a mockumentary that follows four vampires who have lived together for several hundred years on Staten Island. It stars Kayvan Novak, Matt Berry, Natasia Demetriou, Harvey Guillén, and
Mark Proksch and Mark Hammill made a guest star appearance in the second season.
