What Is It?

Snowpiercer is a post-apocalyptic, dystopian series heading to TNT which is based on the 2013 film of the same name directed by Bong Joon-ho. Following is the official tagline for the show:

Set more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, Snowpiercer centers on the remnants of humanity who inhabit a perpetually moving train, with 1001 cars, that circles the globe. Class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival play out in this riveting television adaptation based on the critically acclaimed graphic novel series and film of the same name.

This series will premiere on TNT on Sunday May 17th at 10 PM EST.

Status

This long-in-dvelopment series has received plenty of attention and will be arriving with high expectations. Production was impacted due to the Coronavirus-realated shutdowns, so expect a split in the first season with the currently unfinished episodes arriving later in the year.  You can keep up with status updates at the show’s page on this site.
