Series Profile: Roswell New Mexico Returns for its Second Season

What Is It?

Roswell New Mexico is a reboot of the cult-favorite series Roswell which first debuted in 1999. It follows aliens who have settled in the town of Roswell New Mexico and who are trying to keep their presence a secret from the rest of the world. Following is the official description of the series:

After reluctantly returning to her tourist-trap hometown of Roswell, New Mexico, the daughter of undocumented immigrants discovers a shocking truth about her teenage crush who is now a police officer: he’s an alien who has kept his unearthly abilities hidden his entire life. She protects his secret as the two reconnect and begin to investigate his origins, but when a violent attack and long-standing government cover-up point to a greater alien presence on Earth, the politics of fear and hatred threaten to expose him and destroy their deepening romance.

When Does It Return?

Roswell New Mexico has its second season premiere on Monday, March 16th at 9 PM EST following Supernatural.

Status

Roswell New Mexico airs on The CW, aka the Happy Net, and it was included in the blanket renewal anouncement from January. Since that gets it to the third season mark next year, consider it likely to stick around at least a couple more years seeing as the network generally lets its shows run for at least 70 episodes.
