Weekly roundup of science fiction and fantasy shows (as well as movies/specials of note) on the Prime Time TV schedule, also including programs that may be of interest to genre fans. Air dates and times subject to change without notice.
Two more sci fi show will be joining the schedule this week and one will be wrapping up. On Thursday, Netflix’s cyberpunk series Altered Carbon will return for its second season (see trailer below). Anthony Mackie will be taking over the role of Takeshi Kovacs from Joel Kinnaman (the character will be “re-sleeved” in a new body) in the show’s second year. All episodes will be available for streaming on that day. On Sunday, AMC’s anthology series Dispatches from Elsewhere will have its series premiere following The Walking Dead and then it will move to its regular Monday 10 PM EST timeslot the next day. Also on Sunday, Doctor Who will have its Season 12 finale, though a special episode is also on the way at a future date. Schedule Notes: If a show is listed as On Hiatus, that means that it is taking a break of more than two episodes in a row. If a streaming series is included in the listings after its premiere date, then it releases new episodes once per week on that day as opposed to releasing its entire season at one time.
