Mid-season continues to pick up steam as it brings two more shows to the schedule this week. On Sunday, the modern update of War of the Worlds has its premiere on Epix at 9 PM EST (which is not to be confused with the recent BBC adaptation set in the same time-period as the novel). Also on Sunday, Starz’s time-travel romance Outlander returns for its fifth season. And for fans of The Magicians, that series will air a double-episode on Wednesday starting at 9 PM EST. Schedule Notes: If a show is listed as On Hiatus, that means that it is taking a break of more than two episodes in a row. If a streaming series is included in the listings after its premiere date, then it releases new episodes once per week on that day as opposed to releasing its entire season at one time.
