Syfy’s time travel series 12 Monkeys is entering its final season, and if that had not been decided in advance, it would be inevitable now based on the show’s ratings. It averaged only a 0.05 score for the three episodes aired last Friday and that lands it in the Number 56 slot on the Scorecard, one from the bottom. Expect it to hold right about there as it airs out its final episodes. Dropping this week was FOX’s Ghosted which returned to the schedule with little notice and is performing no better than the repeats it is airing with. The show slipped eight slots (from Number 17 to Number 25) and I expect it to continue to slide in coming weeks. Also dropping was Freeform’s Cloak & Dagger which experienced a notable ratings slip in its second week. That show slid four slots (from Number 8 to Number 12), but it is still looking okay for its network. If its ratings can rebound some, it might be okay. AMC’s Into the Badlands also slipped this week (from Number 34 to Number 36) as it wrapped up the first half of its third season on the a low note. Net Bench: (Network Benchmark) For the broadcast networks, this is the net’s season to date average rating based on the overnights for the 18-49 demographic for non-sports, non-special, non-repeat broadcasts. For the cable channels, this is the lowest level at which a show is typically renewed by that network if there are enough genre entries on that channel to provide a decent sample. But note that with cable entries intangibles such as international and/or streaming partnerships can play an important factor in a shows survival and that is not measured here.
