SDCC 2026 gave us a look at some of the new and returning sci fi and fantasy TV shows, and here is the rundown on the trailers that were released. SDCC Trailers:
Blade Runner 2099 (Prime Video): Fifty years after the events of Blade Runner 2049, Los Angeles has been reborn, just not by humanity. Cora, a fugitive in a final bid to stop running, takes on one last identity: a Blade Runner. Forced to partner with Olwen, a Replicant days from dying, she hunts down a runaway hiding a truth that could collapse their fragile city. Premieres November 25th.
Neuromancer (Apple TV+): Callum Turner stars in the cyberpunk series adapted from William Gibson’s genre-defining 1984 novel. A hacker and an assassin are thrust into a web of high-stakes crime as they take aim at a corporate dynasty.
Lanterns (HBO): The series follows new recruit John Stewart and Lantern legend Hal Jordan, two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, earth-based mystery. Premieres August 16th.
Dark Matter (Apple TV+): Based on the best-selling novel by Blake Crouch, “Dark Matter” is a story of the road not taken. In season one, the series followed Jason Dessen (Joel Edgerton), a physicist, professor and family man who — one night while walking home on the streets of Chicago — is abducted into an alternate version of his life. Wonder quickly turns to nightmare when he tries to return to his reality amid the mind-bending landscape of lives he could have lived. Season two picks up with the Dessens as they settle into a quiet life in a world that finally seems safe until the unimaginable forces them to run once again. Season 2 premieres August 28th.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (Disney+): This series jumps forward several years as war spreads across Middle-earth and Sauron’s power continues to grow. With the Elves struggling to resist his armies, the Dark Lord moves toward forging the One Ring and extending his control over the peoples of Middle-earth, while conflicts also intensify in Númenor, Khazad-dûm, and the eastern lands. Season 3 premieres November 11th.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians (Disney+): Percy Jackson is on a dangerous quest. Outrunning monsters and outwitting gods, he must journey across America to return Zeus’ master bolt and stop an all-out war. With the help of his quest mates Annabeth and Grover, Percy’s journey will lead him closer to the answers he seeks: how to fit into a world where he feels out of place, and find out who he’s destined to be. Season 3 premieres November 20th.
Yaga (AMC+): Follows a private investigator probing the disappearance of a young fishery heir, finding himself at odds with a local detective, a charismatic professor, and a labyrinth of enigmatic suspects and ancient magic. Premieres October 2026.
Carrie (Prime Video): A sheltered girl with telekinetic powers is bullied, leading to a horrific, bloody incident due to her domineering mother’s influence. Premieres October 7th.
Avatar: Seven Havens (Paramount+): Set in a world shattered by a devastating cataclysm, a young Earthbender discovers she’s the new Avatar after Korra. In this dangerous era, that title marks her as humanity’s destroyer, not its savior. Hunted by both human and spirit enemies, she and her long-lost twin must uncover their mysterious origins and save the Seven Havens before civilization’s last strongholds collapse. Premieres October 9th.
Futurama (Hulu): Brace yourselves… The future is about to get a whole lot stranger! It’s a non-stop onslaught of swaggering space pirates, lab-grown meats, sexy scams… plus the shocking return of Dr. Zoidberg’s lost love! You didn’t see that coming, prior to being told about it just now! Season 14 premieres August 3rd.
