Sci Fi TV News

Sam Email has given a brief update on the Battlestar: Galactica series he has been working on making the following comment:

Well, I can’t speak to the movie version, but for the TV series, we are working on it. And in fact, I just read a great outline and it’s in great shape. Because the strike is over now – at least the WGA strike is over – we’re back into developing it.

It is still unclear if this is linked to the 2003 series from Ronald D. Moore or if it will be a complete reboot. As for the movie, which is separate from this, there have been no updates on that.

A new adult animated series from Community and Rick and Morty writer Dan Guterman titled Carol & The End Of The World is headed to Netflix on December 15th. Following is the logline for the show which is being billed as a limited series:

With a mysterious planet hurtling towards Earth, extinction is imminent for the people of the world. While most feel liberated to pursue their wildest dreams, one quiet and always uncomfortable woman stands alone — lost among the hedonistic masses.

In scheduling news, the Fallout TV series from Christopher Nolan and Lisa Joy has received a premiere date of April 12, 2024 on Prime Video. The Marvel Phase 5 TV shows have received revised premiere windows with Agatha: Darkhold Diaries getting moved back to September 2024 and both Ironheart and Daredevil: Born Again getting pushed to 2025.  The former is delayed largely due to the strike while the latter has gone through some behind-the-scenes shakeups but now has a showrunner and new writers attached.
