Sci Fi TV Highlights: Premieres for Doom Patrol S4, His Dark Materials S3, Series Finale for Stargirl

Sci Fi/Fantasy TV Shows Premiering This Week

Doom Patrol (HBO Max): In Season Four, The Doom Patrol travels to the future and must decide once and for all which is more important: their own happiness or the fate of the world? The first two eps of Season 4 will be avaiable for streaming on Thursday.

His Dark Materials (HBO): Season 3 will wrap up the television adapation of Philip Pullman’s book series. The first two eps will air on Monday and the show will release two eps per week after that.

Dragon Age Absolution (Netflix): With great power at stake, a group of mages, fighters, and thieves goes head to head against a sinister force possessing a dangerous artifact. All episodes will be available for streaming on Thursday.

Schedule Notes

The CW’s Kung Fu wrapped up its Fall run last week and that one will return with new episodes on February 8th.  The Winchesters will have its Fall finale on Tuesday with new episodes set to resume January 24th.  Stargirl will air its double-episode series finale on Wednesday.  Syfy’s Reginald the Vampire will have its season finale on Wednesday and that could be its series finale as well considering that it has not built up much viewership in its first year.  Showtime’s Let the Right One In will have its season finale on Sunday, and that is another show that could be on its way out.  (Be sure to follow the Cancellation Watch posts each week from Cancelled Sci Fi for status updates on these and other shows.)
