Linear Ratings Results of Interest:

On Tuesday last week, NBC’s La Brea posted a 0.43 rating based on same-day viewing for the 18-49 demographic with 3.3 million total viewers for its Fall finale. Those are its best numbers since its second episode this season, and the show has also been seeing decent gains in delayed viewing. I still would not call it a sure thing for a third season renewal, but if it holds up when it returns in January, that is definitely a possibility. Over on The CW on Tuesday, The Winchesters posted a 0.10 rating with 459K total viewers which should be good numbers for that network, but may not be enough as the new owners continue to purge programming from the prior regime.

On Wednesday, Chucky slipped to a 0.04 rating with 130K total viewers on Syfy with a 0.09 score and 230K total viewers for its simulcast on USA. The numbers for that one continue to drop off as its second season progresses and could impact its chances for a third season renewal. Lead-out series Reginald the Vampire did not make it into the Cable Top 150 again as it edges closer to cancellation. Over on FX, American Horror Story averaged only a 0.07 rating for its Season 11 finale, but it has already been renewed through its thirteenth year.

On Sunday, AMC’s The Walking Dead posted a 0.66 rating with 2.3 million total viewers for its series finale.  Those are the best numbers the show has seen in its eleventh season, though there is no guarantee that the viewership will carry over into the spin-off shows set to air in 2023.  Over on Showtime, Let the Right One In held low at a 0.02 rating with 72K total viewers as it remains firmly On the Bubble.  Adult Swim’s Rick & Morty returned down with a 0.22 score and 514K total viewers, but it has already been renewed for a seventh season.
