Sci Fi/Fantasy TV Shows Premiering This Week

Outer Range (Premieres April 15th on Prime Video): A rancher fighting for his land and family stumbles upon an unfathomable mystery at the edge of Wyoming’s wilderness, forcing a confrontation with the Unknown in ways both intimate and cosmic in the untamable American West. The first two episodes will premiere on Friday and the show will release two per week after that.


Doctor Who (Spring Special Premieres April 17th on BBC America): In a swashbuckling special adventure, the Doctor (Jodie Whittaker), Yaz (Mandip Gill) and Dan (John Bishop) come face to fin with one of the Doctor’s oldest adversaries: the Sea Devils. Why has legendary pirate queen Madam Ching come searching for a lost treasure? What terrifying forces lurk beneath the oceans of the nineteenth century? And did Yaz really have to dress Dan up as a pirate? “Legends of the Seas Devils” premieres at 9 PM EST on BBC America on Sunday.


Ultraman (Season 2 Premieres April 14th on Netflix): Ultraman is joined by Seven, Ace, Zoffy, Jack and Taro and together, the united Ultraman brotherhood takes on a new alien threat. All episodes will be available for viewing on Thursday.

Also This Week

Also this week, AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead returns from hiatus on Sunday to air the second half of its seventh season (it has been renewed for an eighth season).  The CW’s Superman & Lois and Naomi are currently on Spring hiatus and will resume new episodes at the end of the month.  And Starz’s Outlander will take a break for two weeks before returning with its final two Season 6 episodes later in the month.
