Digital Ratings: Moon Knight Has Strong Debut for Disney+, Upload Hits Nielsen Top 10

Disney+’s Moon Knight series is seeing good numbers out of the gate as the premiere episode logged viewership in 1.8 million U.S. households over a five-day period according to estimates from Samba TV. That is even with the numbers seen by The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and ahead of the 1.5 million households that tuned in for the premiere of Hawkeye. Moon Knight came up short of the 2.5 million households that watched the premiere of Loki, but its numbers are still quite good, especially considering that audiences are not that familiar with the character. Some of the Disney+ MCU shows were not intended for multiple seasons like The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision, but Moon Knight is one that could continue into a second year and beyond.  Samba TV bases its estimates on a sampling of 3 million SmartTV households in the U.S. that tuned into the streaming series for at least five minutes.

Nielsen Streaming Top 10

Amazon’s cyber comedy Upload had its premiere the week of March 7th to 13th and it placed in the Nielsen Streaming Top 10 for originals.  It landed at the Number 8 slot with an estimated 441 million minutes of viewing which is pretty good for a Prime Video entry, and it could be on track for a third season renewal.  Supernatural made its usual appearance in the Top 10 for acquired shows, and other than that there were no genre entries of note.  Following are all the sci fi and fantasy TV shows on the streaming charts for the week (the number in parenthesis is the prior week rank):

Netflix Top 10

Once again, All of Us Are Dead was the only genre entry in the Netflix Top 10.  Now logging its tenth week in a row in the charts, it held at the Number 7 slot and pulled in 9.4 million hours of viewing.  That one should be getting a second season renewal at some point.  Following are all the sci fi and fantasy TV shows on the Netflix charts for the week (the number in parenthesis is the prior week rank):
