The show released its first two episodes that week and those tallied an estimated 853 million minutes of viewing. Slipping to Number 3 in its second week was Amazon’s fantasy epic The Wheel of Time which pulled in 663 million minutes of viewing. Improving for the week was Netflix’s Cowboy Bebop reboot which moved up two slots to the Number 4 position and had 629 million minutes of viewing (but that one has been cancelled). The animated series Supercrooks had its premiere that week and Part 2 of Masters of the Universe: Revelations also had its bow, but neither placed in the Top 10 (neither of those made it into Netflix’s Top 10 for that week either). Ratings Results of Interest:

Only one genre series aired a new episode last week on the linear channels and that was the two-hour Holiday Special for FOX’s Fantasy Island. It was originally scheduled to air on Tuesday but got moved to Thursday at the last minute due to shuffling of the NFL schedule. The move may have impacted its viewership as it only managed a 0.26 rating based on same-day viewing for the 18-49 demographic with 1.8 million total viewers. Still, that is not too bad after a last-minute schedule change during a typically low-viewership time of year. The series is set to return for its second season in either late Spring or Summer.

Sci FI TV Schedule:

Mid-Season begins next week, though it will not bring many new shows to the schedule just yet as most of the programs on the linear channels are still on hiatus. But The CW’s Nancy Drew will resume new episodes next Friday, and the animated fantasy entry DOTA: Dragon’s Blood will be back with its second season on Netflix on Thursday. Star Trek: Prodigy will also be back from hiatus and will resume releasing new episodes on Paramount+ on Thursday. More shows are on the way and you can see the full Mid-Season schedule at this link.
