The results for the Nielsen Streaming Top 10 for the week of Oct 26th to Nov 1st were delayed to today due to the holiday (I usually post them on Fridays), but they are available now and another sci fi series has entered the rankings. The second season of The Mandalorian debuted on October 30th and that show placed at the Number 3 slot for the week, giving Disney+ its first entry in the Top 10. That one releases one episode per week, so I would expect it to remain in the rankings for a while. Slipping that week was Netflix’s The Haunting of Bly Manor which dropped six slots to Number 9. Dropping out of the chart was Netflix’s encore run of The 100 which was at the Number 3 slot last week. Truth Seekers had its premiere on Amazon’s Prime Video that week, but did not place in the Top 10.
The Nielsen Streaming Ratings rank the shows/movies on Netflix, Amazon, Disney+, and Hulu based on the number of minutes watched during the week by U.S. viewers. The numbers are extrapolated based on the Nielsen sampling of families who have meters monitoring their viewing habits. Also, shows with more episodes available will tend to have a higher number of minutes watched.
