Weekly roundup of science fiction and fantasy shows (as well as movies/specials of note) on the Prime Time TV schedule, also including programs that may be of interest to genre fans. Air dates and times subject to change without notice.
Two sci fi shows join the schedule this week while one has its season finale. On Thursday, Star Trek: Discovery joins the Prime Time lineup as CBS kicks off an encore run of the first season (the third season is set to premiere on CBS All Access October 15th). Then on Friday, Amazon’s conspiracy series Utopia has its premiere on Prime Video. All episodes will be available for streaming that day. Also of interest this week, an encore run of Cosmos: Possible Worlds (which previously aired on Nat Geo) begins on Fox on Tuesday.
Wrapping up this week is Dead Pixels which has its season finale on The CW on Tuesday. That show has been renewed for a second season. Also this week, a Walking Dead special will air on Sunday at 8 PM EST which leads up to next week’s Season 10 “finale” (six more episodes have been added to the season which will air in early 2021) and the premiere of The Walking Dead: World Beyond. Schedule Notes: If a show is listed as On Hiatus, that means that it is taking a break of more than two episodes in a row. If a streaming series is included in the listings after its premiere date, then it releases new episodes once per week on that day as opposed to releasing its entire season at one time.

Hope they haven’t messed up Utopia. The British original was strange, beautiful, brutal and horrific all at once. It was also really good.
