Netflix has given a second season renewal to its fantasy series Warrior Nun. That show, which is based on the comics created by Ben Dunn, debuted on the streaming service July 2nd and has been receiving good buzz from critics and fans. It currently holds a 70% Fresh Rating and 76% Audience Score at Rotten Tomatoes. It also ranked as high as Number 3 on IMDb Pro’s MovieMeter shortly after its release. That ranking system uses a propriety algorithm to determine the popularity of a TV series / movie. Netflix released the following on Twitter revealing the announcement:

The second season of the series will likely debut at some point in 2021.
Warrior Nun follows a young woman who discovers that she is part of an ancient order tasked with fighting demons and other supernatural beings on Earth. She also learns that both heaven and hell have an interest in her fate. It stars Alba Baptista, Toya Turner, Thekla Reuten, Lorena Andrea, and Kristina Tonteri-Young and comes from Simon Barry (Continuum, Van Helsing).
