Streaming Finds: Here’s All the Sci Fi and Fantasy Shows Coming to Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu in December

Following is a rundown of the sci fi and fantasy shows (new and old) that will be arriving on Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon in November, plus originals that will debut on the other streaming services during the month.

Originals:

The Witcher (Premieres Dec 20)

About: The witcher Geralt, a mutated monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts.

V-Wars (Premieres Dec 5)

About: A fast-spreading disease that turns victims into blood-sucking fiends pits two best friends against each other in a fight for humanity’s future.

Lost in Space (Season 2 Premieres Dec 24)

About: There’s more danger — and adventure — ahead for the Robinson family. With Jupiter 2 stranded on a mysterious ocean planet without their beloved Robot, the Robinsons must work together, alongside the mischievous and manipulative Dr. Smith and the always charming Don West, to make it back to the Resolute and reunite with the other colonists. But they quickly find all is not as it seems. A series of incredible new threats and unexpected discoveries emerge as they look for the key to finding Robot and safe passage to Alpha Centauri.

About: The Runaways have left their homes (and evil parents) behind and now have to learn to live on their own. As they scavenge for food, search for shelter, and take care of one another, our kids begin to realize that, for better or worse, they’re stuck with each other. And it’s up to them to take down PRIDE once and for all. But someone sent a mysterious message to Jonah… Is there a mole in the Runaways? Meanwhile PRIDE is focused on finding their children, and Jonah has his own dangerous plan in mind.

Into the Dark (S2 Ep 3 “A Nasty Piece of Work” Premieres Dec 6)

About: A mid-level employee at a large company finds out he’s not getting the Christmas bonus or promotion he was expecting. But then his boss invites him over for dinner with a proposal for how he can climb the corporate ladder… by beating his professional rival in a violent competition.

Into the Dark (S2 Ep 4 “Midnight Kiss” Premieres Dec 27)

The Expanse (Season 4 Premieres Dec 13)

About: Season 4 of The Expanse, its first as a global Amazon Original, begins a new chapter for the series with the crew of the Rocinante on a mission from the U.N. to explore new worlds beyond the Ring Gate. Humanity has been given access to thousands of Earth-like planets which has created a land rush and furthered tensions between the opposing nations of Earth, Mars and the Belt. Ilus is the first of these planets, one rich with natural resources but also marked by the ruins of a long dead alien civilization. While Earthers, Martians and Belters maneuver to colonize Ilus and its natural resources, these early explorers don’t understand this new world and are unaware of the larger dangers that await them.
