Series Profile: American Horror Story Heads to Summer Camp in 1984 for Its Ninth Season

What Is It?

American Horror Story is a season-long horror anthology with some overall connection to its seasons and some characters returning in later stories (and many of the same actors play different characters each season). The show’s ninth year–subtitled 1984–will head to Summer camp for its own unique take on the slasher genre. It follows a group of young aerobics instructors who go to work at a summer camp and are terrorized by the escaped mental patient known as Mr. Jingles. Note that long-time cast member Evan Peters will not take part in the coming season and Sarah Paulson will have only a minor role.
