Cancellation Watch Breaking News: Netflix Renews Love, Death, and Robots for Second Season

The anthology series Love, Death, and Robots will be returning to Netflix for a second season. The streaming service made the announcement on Twitter and also indicated that Jennifer Yuh Nelson (Kung Fu Panda) will be joining the show as supervising director in its second season.

The series has been well-received in its first season (it currently holds a 77% Fresh Rating on Rotten Tomatoes), and Netflix has a tendency to keep shows around for at least a few seasons (but typically not much more than that). The first season debuted in March 2019 and the second season will likely bow at some point in 2020.

Love, Death, and Robots is an anthology series consisting of five to fifteen minute episodes that are animated or partially animated with elements of science fiction, fantasy, and horror. It was created by Deadpool director Tim Miller and has David Fincher (Alien 3, Fight Club) onboard as executive producer.

There are still several shows from the regular season that are awaiting renewal or cancellation announcements, and the Summer shows have just started rolling out.
