forever-abc-cancelledDescription: Doctor Henry Morgan (Ioan Gruffudd), New York City’s star medical examiner, has a secret. He doesn’t just study the dead to solve criminal cases, he does it to solve the mystery that has eluded him for 200 years—the answer to his own inexplicable immortality. This long life has given Henry remarkable observation skills which impresses his new partner Detective Jo Martinez (Alana De La Garza). Each week, a new case and their budding friendship will reveal layers of Henry’s long and colorful past. Only his best friend and confidant, Abe (Judd Hirsch) knows Henry’s secret.

Why Was It Cancelled? The cancellation announcement on this one came as no surprise considering the low ratings that it pulled throughout its first season.  Actually, the full season pickup was the biggest surprise and that suggested the networks might actually be paying attention to the delayed viewings numbers which regularly lifted Forever‘s stats.  But now it appears more likely that ABC just did not have much waiting in the wings and they used this show as schedule fodder to plug up holes until the season ended.  Ultimately, it fell victim to its low ratings indicating that the system of gauging success has not changed much for the broadcast networks.

Tired of Darkness. Forever is Highlander, Sherlock Holmes and CSI. Easy on the mind
and fun to watch with some morality, Forever should stay forever.

Welp with all the garbage that TV has to offer today and all the good shows just getting thrown out left and right it only makes sense this show will be canceled. People these days have no imagination and thanks to people being pretty much nothing but brainless sponges that can’t handle anything more than fake reality TV that makes them aspire to be morons all their life basing their lives on Fictional Character’s that pretend to be real people like Jersey Shore and Real world instead of watching fun shows like this that asks the question, “What if” because their tiny brains can’t wrap their minds around anything that takes imagination to figure out. It’s canceled, don’t hold your breath for next season because you’ll just suffocate while waiting. It needs to get out of the spot they have saved for the next scripted reality series or some other dumbass show about some child the parents decided to exploit to make money off of or who knows, maybe even another show that the ratings really do keep going down like Big Band Theory leaving you to wonder who the hell is watching this show when they haven’t had a rating increase in 5 years but some how it stays on the air because some ones related to some body so they just refuse to let it die.

That being said Forever is a great show but I don’t see it being brought back.Face it, Almost Human was the highest rated imaginative Scripted TV show on all of Fox and like many others that held high ratings they scrapped it first season and all the other stations seem to be following their lead (Including ABC) these days and nothing seems to be stopping it.

What a huge disappointment to see Forever canceled. This is all ABCs fault. They barely advertised for this show. They put it on late when there was no reason to. They just didnt care. This show is amazing and if given a better chance would have done better. Instead of investing in tired old shows like Greys and Castle, cancel those and let a new fresh show like Forever have a better chance.

At the very least ABC, sell the rights to this show to a network that is more willing to invest in it and give it a real shot.

I am extremely disappointed that this phenomenal show has been cancelled. This was the only show I have had the pleasure of watching and sincerely looked forward to the next episode. Perhaps the time slot could have been better? I had to DVR it because I could never catch it at the right time. This show should have been given more of a chance. It was not only an excellent story line but it was intelligent, respectful and had an unprecedented level of passion from the actors in each of their performances. I believe it to be very rare to find a group of actors that mirrored the same excellence off of one another making each of their connections deeper than just the character they were playing. Just as this show has hit it’s peak of excitement, I can’t help but feel crushed by this decision and disappointed that a show of duh quality has been overlooked. This is a genuine, loving cast and I wish that the “powers that be” would change their minds. What a bummer.

Don’t forgive the ABC for they know not what they do. This is the most remarkable show ever made. Why cancel it?

What a massive shame… one of the best shows I have ever watched. Good story lines, funny, and history thrown in with secrets…. and with a Welsh man playing an English man – great show, will be well missed. Maybe the Syfy channel should pick this show up… quite clearly ABC do not enough sight to see the potential here.
