There are currently no Star Trek TV shows in production (and no movies are actively in the works), and the franchise will be wrapping up once the second and last season of Starfleet Academy has aired along with the completed fourth and fifth seasons of Strange New Worlds. So Trek is on a lull for now, but there are already talks of where to go next with the franchise (more on that at this link).
So now seems like a good time to ask the fans what direction the franchise should follow from this point. Below is a rundown on several of the ideas being floated around now (you can read more about those here), and the poll has a few more options. Cast your vote on the ones you like the most, and this will be shared with Paramount. You can join the discussion at this link.
Shows Currently Being Considered:
Star Trek: Year One: This series would carry on from Strange New Worlds, and it would cover the first year of Captain James T. Kirk’s tenure in command of the Enterprise after he assumes the conn from Captain Christopher Pike, with Paul Wessley continuing as Kirk.
Star Trek: Legacy: This series would continue on from Season 3 of Picard, and it is one that many fans want. It would follow Seven of Nine as she takes command of the Enterprise-G, and joining her would be Jack Crusher, Raffi Musiker, Sidney and Alandra La Forge, and possibly more.
Star Trek: United: This proposed series would focus on Jonathan Archer’s tenure as one of the earliest presidents of the Federation of Planets—something hinted at in Star Trek: Enterprise and later made canon.
Captain Worf Series: This would follow Captain Worf in charge of his own starship, potentially the U.S.S. Titan-A which he was linked to in Star Trek: Picard Season 3.
Admiral Janeway Series: This proposal would see Kate Mulgrew return to the role of Kathryn Janeway, ostensibly in her years as admiral of Starfleet. The details of the show have not been revealed, but Mulgrew has expressed an interest in returning to the franchise under the right conditions.

My question is would Scott Bakula be willing to return as President Archer in Star Trek: United? If not, then I say no to that one. All interesting choices except for more new animated ones, I can’t stand those.
Word is that Bakula is definitely interested in returning to the role.
We need a “new” TNG. Decades after PIC, legacy characters only as rare cameos. Keep the TNG aesthetic.
Retcon the disastrous Burn and the dumb 32nd century. No one wants that shit.
I personally hope Starfleet Academy is picked up by a new platform and continued. Barring that, adventures in the 32nd century would be best, IMO.
There is a Star Trek series written by Peter David. It follows the adventures of the star ship Excalibur, commanded by Captain Mackenzie Calhoun. The books were named “Star Trek: New Frontier”series””
I voted other but the good thing about Star Trek Legacy being the popular vote… It actually works in the TNG timeline, Seven exists, many of the TNG/VOY/ENT actors are around for guest spots. As well as Jack Crusher and the La Forge sisters fitting in just fine. Heck no reason everyone’s favorite dipshit from Chicago can’t be there too. Though I would want Rear/Vice Admiral Liam Shaw.
Who are you referring to from Chicago?
Nevermind. It’s Liam Shaw.
I want it to remain in the 32nd century with new adventures.
Give us a series on Romulus, all the spy and espionage stories you could think of set in earlier Romulan timeline post warp.
