Sci Fi TV News of Note:

Filming for Season 2 of HBO’s Game of Thrones prequel A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms begins this month, ahead of the show’s January 18th premiere. That should help cut down the break between seasons. and the second year could premiere in early 2027. You can see the most recent trailer for that one at this link.

Noah Hawley was asked on the SmartLess podcast about the chances of the Predator alien making an appearance in an upcoming season of Alien: Earth, and he had the following to say:

No, not onto the show, I don’t think. I think Dan Trachtenberg, who made Prey and has made the Badlands movie — you know, I loved Prey. I think he’s doing a great job with that franchise. He clearly has a plan there. I’ve met Dan once, we’re not kind of coordinating any of that stuff. So, it’s not really my plan to do it.

Both franchises are owned by Disney, but it appears that no crossover is planned on television at this time.

In scheduling news, several sci fi TV premieres were announced over the last few days. Amazon’s The Boys returns for its fifth and final season on April 8th, and you can see the trailer for that below. The second season of Hulu’s Paradise is set for February 23rd, and you can see the trailer for that one at this link. Also on Hulu, The Handmaid’s Tale sequel series The Testaments will be having its bow at some point in April. And over on Paramount+, Season 3 of School Spirits will be premiering January 28th.
