SDCC Sci Fi TV Trailers: Starfleet Academy, Peacemaker Season 2, Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2, and More

Below is the rundown of the sci fi TV trailers from this past week, mostly coming out of Comic Con. For a look at the news from SDCC, go to this link.


Star Trek: Starfleet Academy (Paramount+): This series follows the adventures of a new class of cadets in one of the most legendary places in the galaxy. Under the watchful and demanding eyes of their instructors, they will discover what it takes to become Starfleet officers as they navigate blossoming friendships, explosive rivalries, first loves and a new enemy that threatens both the Academy and the Federation itself. Premieres early 2026.



Peacemaker (HBO Max): In season 2, Peacemaker discovers an alternate world where life is everything he wishes it could be. But this discovery also forces him to face his traumatic past and take the future into his own hands. Season 2 premieres August 21st.



Percy Jackson and the Olympians (Disney+): Percy Jackson returns to Camp Half-Blood one year later to find his world turned upside down. His friendship with Annabeth is changing, he learns he has a cyclops for a brother, Grover has gone missing, and camp is under siege from the forces of Kronos. Percy’s journey to set things right will take him off the map and into the deadly Sea of Monsters, where a secret fate awaits the son of Poseidon. Season 2 premieres December 10th.



Gen V (Prime Video): From the world of The Boys comes Gen V, a thrilling new series set at America’s only college for superheroes. These gifted students put their moral boundaries to the test, competing for the university’s top ranking, and a chance to join The Seven, Vought International’s elite superhero team. When the school’s dark secrets come to light, they must decide what kind of heroes they want to become. Season 2 premieres September 17th.



The Mighty Nein (Prime Video): This series follows a group of fugitives and outcasts, bound by secrets and scars. But when a powerful arcane relic known as “The Beacon” falls into dangerous hands, they must learn to work together to save the realm and stop reality itself from unraveling. Premieres November 19th.



Star Trek: Kahn (StarTrek.com): This scripted podcast series explores the untold events on Ceti Alpha V, chronicling Khan’s descent from a superhuman visionary into the vengeful villain seen in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Premieres September 8th.



It: Welcome to Derry (HBO): This prequel to the It films is set in 1962, 27 years before the events of the 2017 movie, and it explores the sinister rise of Pennywise in Derry. Premieres in October.



Solar Opposites (Hulu): Once their alien diamond-making machine gets destroyed, the Solar Opposites must face their greatest challenge yet: living their expensive lives on a budget! When their consumerist habits and expensive hobbies are gone, only their true selves will remain… but will they like who they find? Season 6 premieres October 13th.



Talamasca (AMC): This new entry in the Immortal Universe franchise focuses on a secretive society called the Talamasca, comprised of the men and women responsible for tracking and containing the witches, vampires, and other creatures scattered around the globe. Premieres October 26th.



Outlander (Starz): Every promise, every sacrifice, every moment has led to this. The final season of Outlander premieres early 2026.
