Sci Fi TV News of Note:

Demascus will stream on Tubi after getting cancelled by AMC

The sci fi comedy series Demascus, which was cancelled by AMC before it aired, will finally be seeing the light of day. That show follows the titular character (played by Okieriete Onaodowan) who is a black man going on a journey of self-discovery using an experimental reality-bending technology. It was cancelled by AMC when that network was going through cost-cutting measures even though its six-episode first season had been completed. Tubi is now picking up the show and will make it available starting on August 7th. There is no word at this point on whether that streamer is considering a second season of the show, and that may be a stretch seeing as Tubi has a limited budget for originals.

Apple TV+ gave a second season renewal to its sci fi comedy Murderbot this past week. That one just wrapped up its first season and will likely return at some point in 2026.

In production news, Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again has wrapped filming. It apparently has a fair amount of post-production work ahead of it, though, as it is not scheduled to premiere until March 2026.
