Sci Fi TV Highlights: A look at the upcoming schedule of sci fi and fantasy shows as well as recent news and/or trailers of note.
Sci Fi TV Premieres:
Revival (Syfy): On one miraculous day in rural Wisconsin, the recently deceased suddenly rise from their graves. But this is no zombie story as the “revived” appear and act just like they once were. When local officer and single mother Dana Cypress is unexpectedly thrown into the center of a brutal murder mystery of her own, she’s left to make sense of the chaos amidst a town gripped by fear and confusion where everyone, alive or undead, is a suspect. Premieres Thursday at 10 PM EST.

Sci Fi TV News of Note:
The Sandman will be ending with its second season, but it will be getting a bonus episode. Netflix has announced that in addition to the eleven episodes previously planned for the show it will get one more ep to be titled “The Sandman Presents: Death: The High Cost of Living” which will focus on the character Death. The will likely be a stand-alone episode similar to “Dream of a Thousand Cats/Calliope” from the first season. All of the episode titles from the second season have been revealed, and you can see those at this link.
In production news, The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 3 has shown up in the Production Weekly listings even though it has not been officially renewed yet. Work is also beginning on Season 3 of The Ark and you can read more about both of those in our latest Sci Fi TV Production Report.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is scheduled to premiere July 17th on Paramount+ and it will release two episodes that day followed by one per week through the rest of the season. You can see the trailer for that show below.
