Sci Fi TV Highlights: Premieres for Dark Matter, Doctor Who Season 14, Blood of Zeus Season 2, and More

Sci Fi TV Highlights: A look at the upcoming schedule of sci fi and fantasy shows as well as recent news and/or trailers of note.

Sci Fi TV Premieres This Week:


Dark Matter (Apple TV+): Professor Jason Dessen is abducted into an alternate version of his life; in a labyrinth of realities, he embarks on a harrowing journey to get back to his true family and save them from a terrifying foe imaginable — himself. Premieres on Wednesday.



Doctor Who (Disney+): The fourteenth season (which is also being referred to as Season 1) will star Ncuti Gatwa as the fifteenth doctor and premieres May 10th.



Blood of Zeus (Netflix): Heron reflects on the war for Olymous and his battle with Seraphim, and channels his new demigod powers. Premieres on Thursday.



Interview with the Vampire (AMC): A luxury apartment covering an entire single floor of a high rise. Where the Vampire has granted the interview with the man he once judged to be unworthy. And where the journalist Daniel Molloy has hustled, for a second shot at the interview that got away from him 40 years earlier. Premiers Sunday at 9 PM EST on AMC.

Sci Fi TV News of Note:

SciTrek posted another update about the potential Stargate series, and their source at MGM+ indicates that work is still going forward on that show. They may not have the budget they hoped for seeing as Amazon is cutting funding to that streamer, but the show is still in the works. You can see the full video at this link.

CBS announced its schedule for the upcoming 2024-25 season, and that included no new sci fi/fantasy shows. The only genre entry on that network currently is the supernatural comedy Ghosts which will be heading into its fourth season.
