Nielsen Streaming Top 10

HBO’s post-apocalyptic series The Last of Us made it into the Nielsen Streaming Rankings for the week of January 16th to 22nd. It debuted at Number 3 in the chart for acquired series for its run on HBO Max and pulled in an estimated 837 million minutes of viewing. Those are impressive numbers considering that covers only the first episode and less than a day of availability for the second ep, and not surprisingly the show has been renewed for a second season. In the Top 10 for originals, Netflix’s Wednesday (Renewed) slipped one slot to Number 4 with 711 million minutes viewed. The second season of Amazon’s The Legend of Vox Machina premiered that week but did not make it into the charts, but that one has already been renewed for a third season. Following are all the sci fi and fantasy TV shows on the streaming charts for the week (the number in parenthesis is the prior week rank):

Netflix Top 10:

Lockwood & Co. took a notable drop in the Netflix charts the week of February 6th to 12th. It slipped from Number 1 to Number 7 and pulled in 15.4 million hours of viewing. If it drops out next week, that will give it the dreaded three-week run which has previously led to the cancellation of shows like The Imperfects, The Midnight Club, and Warrior Nun. Wednesday held at the Number 3 slot and pulled in another 23 million hours of viewing. In the Non-English Language charts, Alchemy of Souls Part 2 held at Number 7 with 12 million hours of viewing and could be on track for renewal. Following are all the sci fi and fantasy TV shows on the Netflix charts for the week (the number in parenthesis is the prior week rank):

Netflix Top 10 for the Week of Feb-6 to Feb-12
