Sci Fi/Fantasy TV Shows Premiering This Week


The Flash (CW): Barry Allen and Iris West-Allen are reconnecting and growing closer than ever before. But when a deadly group of Rogues descend on Central City led by a powerful new threat, The Flash and his team—Caitlin Snow, Meta-Empath Cecile Horton, the light-powered meta Allegra Garcia, brilliant tech-nerd Chester P. Runk, and reformed cryogenics thief Mark Blaine—must once again defy impossible odds to save the day. Season 9 premieres Wednesday at 8 PM EST.

Kung Fu returns from hiatus on Wednesday at 9 PM EST on The CW.

James Gunn and Peter Safran have have announced upcoming new DC Universe projects which includes Booster Gold and Green Lantern shows (the latter to be titled Lanterns) as well as the Wonder Woman prequel series Paradise Lost, a Peacemaker spinoff focusing on Amanda Waller and the animated Creature Commandoes . . . WestworldThe NeversRaised by Wolves, and The Time Traveler’s Wife will be making the move to the free, ad-supported streaming services Tubi TV and The Roku Channel . . . Russel T. Davies is planning on expanding the Doctor Who Universe similar to what Paramount+ has done with the Star Trek franchise.
