Streaming Sci Fi TV: Pluto TV Has Star Trek, Stargate, Doctor Who, and More

Streaming Sci Fi TV: Tracking down sci fi and fantasy shows of interest on the streaming services. Note that streaming availability can change with little to no notice.

Pluto TV is a free live-streaming service that has multiple channels running television shows and movies, including quite a number of interest to genre fans.  These are live-streaming channels, so just like with the broadcast networks and cable channels you watch what is on at the time that you go to the channel.  It is ad-supported and runs about the standard amount of ads for this type of service. It is owned by Viacom, so it also runs archives from channels that company owns such as CBS, MTV, VH1, Spike, Nickelodeon, and more. But it has plenty more programming of interest beyond that including a Star Trek channel that has episodes of TOS and TNG, a Stargate channel that runs episodes of the three live-action shows plus the Ark of Truth and Continuum movies, a Doctor Who channel that runs episodes of the classic series, a Walking Dead channel that plays eps of the various series as well as interviews and behind-the-scenes clips, and more.  The service also has some shows available On Demand like all three of the live-action Stargate entries, the original Outer Limits, and the first two seasons of the original Twilight Zone.  So for a free service, it has quite a lot to choose from that would appeal to lovers of sci fi and fantasy.

Here are several of the live-streaming channels that would be of interest to genre fans.  I have indicated the channel category and number, though the channel numbers tend to change from time to time.  The channel descriptions are direct from Pluto TV.

Star Trek (Entertainment-270): Boldly go to the channel that brings you the continuing mission of the USS Enterprise with both Star Trek: The Original Series and Star Trek: The Next Generation. Beam aboard any time of day on Pluto TV.
