Last Monday, The CW’s 4400 returned from its Winter hiatus but saw its numbers take a drop. It pulled a 0.06 rating based on same-day viewing for the 18-49 demographic with 450K total viewers for its first 2022 episode. Those are not disastrous numbers for a CW entry, but it is definitely not a good thing to be an under-performing show when new owners could be coming onboard. On Tuesday, Superman & Lois continued to pull strong numbers by CW standards as it had a 0.21 score in the demo and 1.1 million total viewers for its second Season 2 ep. In the lead-out hour, Naomi slipped a bit to a 0.11 rating with 730K total viewers, but those are still decent numbers for that network.
On Wednesday, Legends of Tomorrow slipped from its previous week season high to a 0.09 rating with 553K total viewers. Leading out from that, Batwoman slipped to a 0.07 score with 443K total viewers. As with all of the The CW’s shows, the renewal likelihood is now impacted by the potential sale of the network. On Thursday, Ghosts improved to a 0.68 rating for CBS with 6.7 million total viewers. That one just received a second season renewal. On Friday, Nancy Drew improved to a 0.09 rating with 474K total viewers for The CW, its best numbers for the season.
On Saturday, Blade Runner: Black Lotus slipped to a 0.09 score with 243K total viewers, though it is still doing okay for an Adult Swim entry. On The CW on Sunday, Two Sentence Horror Stories barely registered with a 0.02 rating and 183K total viewers. That is an inexpensive acquisition for the network, but those numbers are low enough that I am moving it to Bubble status. Below are the full ratings for genre shows from the past week.
