Sci Fi/Fantasy TV Shows Premiering This Week
Only one show joins the schedule this week as sci fi and fantasy premieres slow down for the rest of July, but those will start to ramp up again in August.
Masters of the Universe: Revelation (Premieres on Netflix July 23rd): A radical return to Eternia, Revelation is a direct sequel series to the classic era of Masters of the Universe. Featuring fan favorites He-Man, Orko, Cringer, and Man-At-Arms, the story pits our heroic warriors, and guardians of Castle Grayskull against Skeletor, Evil-Lyn, Beast-Man and the vile legions of Snake Mountain. But after a ferocious final battle forever fractures Eternia, it’s up to Teela to solve the mystery of the missing Sword of Power in a race against time to prevent the end of the Universe! Her journey will uncover the secrets of Grayskull at last. Directed by Kevin Smith. This series premieres on Friday with all episodes available for viewing.
Schedule Notes
Three of The CW’s shows will be wrapping up their seasons this week. On Tuesday, The Flash has its Season 7 finale, on Wednesday Kung Fu wraps up its first season, and on Friday Charmed has its Season 3 finale. All of those have been renewed. This will bring the number of active genre entries on the schedule to a pretty low count, but things will pick up again in August and you can see the full schedule at this link.
