Weekly roundup of science fiction and fantasy shows (as well as movies/specials of note) on the Prime Time TV schedule, also including programs that may be of interest to genre fans. Air dates and times subject to change without notice.
This week brings two premieres and one show wrapping up for the season. On Saturday, the second season of A Discovery of Witches will debut on Shudder and Sundance Now with all eight episodes available for streaming that day (it premieres one day earlier on Sky in Britain). On Sunday, Starz’s American Gods–based on the Neil Gaiman book of the same name–has its third season premiere. On Thursday, Star Trek: Discovery has its Season 3 finale on CBS All Access, and that one is already set to continue its voyage into a fourth season next year. Apart from that, it remains slim pickins’ for sci fi and fantasy television this week, but things will start ramping up pretty quickly. If a streaming series is included in the listings after its premiere date, then it releases new episodes once per week on that day as opposed to releasing its entire season at one time.
