Poll: Will the Premiere of Fear the Walking Dead Match the Ratings of its Parent Series?

Fear-The-Walking-Dead-LogoThe Walking Dead has been a ratings phenomenon as it has delivered the highest rated scripted television show on all of television in years.  Last season it reached a series high of an 8.7 score based on the overnights for the 18-49 demographic and it averaged a 7.4 rating.  By comparison, the broadcast networks were renewing shows that were averaging scores in the 2.0’s, and some shows (like Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter) got renewal nods in the 1.0’s.  So now with TWD‘s spin-off series Fear the Walking Dead bowing tonight at 9 PM EST (with a special one and a half hour premiere), will it match the rating of its parent series?  Cast your vote below on where you think the numbers will come in and then keep an eye on the Cancelled Sci Fi Twitter Site on Tuesday morning for the results (they will also be posted on this site by mid-day Tuesday).  As a note, Fear the Walking Dead has already been renewed for a second season, so the Nielsens aren’t a huge concern.  But it will be interesting to see if the show delivers another ratings blockbuster for AMC.

Poll Closed: The final numbers came in at a 4.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic based on the overnights with 10.1 million total viewers.
