Status: Returning, 3rd Season Airs 2017
Timeslot: Mondays 9 PM EST
Premiere: June 5th
Network: Freeform (Formerly ABC Family)
Starring: Emma Ishta, Kyle Harris, Ritesh Rajan, Salli Richardson-Whitfield
Series Website:

Description: “Stitchers” follows Kirsten (Emma Ishta), a young woman recruited into a covert government agency to be ‘stitched’ into the minds of the recently deceased, using their memories to investigate murders and decipher mysteries that otherwise would have gone to the grave. Working alongside Kirsten is Cameron (Kyle Harris), a brilliant neuroscientist whose passion for the program is evident in his work. The secret program is headed by Maggie (Salli Richardson-Whitfield), a skilled veteran of covert operations, and includes Linus (Ritesh Rajan), a socially immature bioelectrical engineer and communications technician. Kirsten’s roommate, Camille (Allison Scagliotti), a gifted computer science grad student, is also recruited to use her skills to assist Kirsten in her new role as a ‘stitcher.’

Season End Status: This show has not performed well with its linear viewing in either its first or second season, but it is another one of those cable entries that prove the old school Nielsens are becoming more and more irrelevant beyond the broadcast networks. Stitchers improved its numbers with delayed viewing, but more importantly it demonstrated “stickiness” in the social networks and that helped draw attention to the show. This one has a very dedicated fanbase, and as long as they remain active on the social nets, that could help the show survive into a fourth season.

Wow, I really hope they cancel this show. It makes no sense whatsoever. All the actors are in diapers. Most are super arrogant. And NOTHING makes sense! Horrible show in my opinion. I really hope it gets cancelled so they will stop advertising the incredibly stupid and incorrect “Memories never die” – especially since there is a max time before the body 100% dies and the memories DO disappear! So… yeah…

Sorry to disappoint you, but it has already been renewed for a second season.

than just don’t watch it, theirs no reason to wish a show be canceled, don’t turn it o that’s a solution, there are a lot of people who love this show, if you don’t like it don’t watch it, don’t ask for it to be canceled and that effect a lot of other people who do care about it…And if you actually did watch the show, the memories do disappear in time that’s why they have to hurry up and stitch into it. Smart Ass

No if ypu dont like it dont ruin it for the rest of us this show is amazing and i cant live without it

Hater. If you don’t like it don’t watch. There’s hundreds of other shows to watch. It’s scifi..of course it’s made up.

You’re funny! Actually this show has FANTASTIC performances, especially from Salli Richardson-Whitfield, who is gorgeous in addition to being an authoritative performer (I’ve longed to see more of her than cameos for a long time), and Allison Scagliotti with a hilarious and tough characterization. The stuff about the body dying in clearly woven into the show, so either you haven’t seen it or you were high at the time.

This show is so hilariously terrible and, frankly, juvenile I feel like it’s been created as some sort of writer training wheels. The characterisation, the dialogue, the hackneyed plot. I am surprised it’s been renewed because as well as being bad I didn’t know anybody was watching it.

    1. Lisa

I freaking love this show! You might want to actually look up the word “hackneyed”, because it doesn’t mean “generic put down”, it means meaningless from overuse. When did you ever see a show claim to reclaim the memories of the dead for the amount of time it takes for the all electrical energy to leave the body? Although hackney can also be freaking hilarious. Ask anyone who loves Star Trek.

I’ve really enjoyed this show I’m glad it’s getting a second season. Nothing is supposed to make sense yet! Remember that she is still peicing her past together! As well as being kept in the dark about everything else!!

  4. caitlin

love the show i dont know what other people are thinking, on how they hate this show it does make sense if you just payed a little attention great actors and hoping for the best of this show hope to everyone this show will keep going. and in the begining of shows nothing ever makes sense… okay.

  5. Kavan Sidhu

I don’t know what everyone else is talking about either. This is one of the best shows ever. It totally makes sense. Its a bout a girl who stitches into the minds of dead bodies to help solve murders.

  6. Lissa

I am an adult near 40 and love this show. It is a bit choppy for sci fi but I have scene worse on the sci fi channel. I find the plot intriguing and I love the idea of stitching!

I am surprised I have enjoyed it as much as I have, being a show for Young Adults, which I am _not_ (over 50… =:o). The story and writing are just on the edge of being ridiculous, but I totally disagree that it doesn’t make sense. It makes sense–especially with the world today coming alive and leaving behind the arrogant attitude of “if I can’t see it myself, me my very self & I here in Some City, USA, then it doesn’t exist.” THAT, my friends, is what’s ridiculous. But I digress. Is the show credible? My vote says, “Yes, just enough so.” Some people need to open their minds just a little bit to what may be possible in the universe….. You know what the difference between reality and fiction is, right? Fiction has to be believable. But besides all that, I think the actors throw enough into their rolls to actually pull it off and make it work. It is definitely skewed to Young Adults, and lesser actors would have made this show totally bomb, but most of them are really quite talented, even if a bit green, and I particularly think Emma Ishta is a good enough actor to keep her character credible and keep the show interesting. I am glad it is renewed. 🙂

I just found this show and my husband and I love it! I am happy it was renewed.

  9. ladykimber

Love this show I really hope the fans can keep it going and have it renewed for another season. People please open your minds. Actually what makes me sad is, I bet if it were more gory and disgusting I bet anything it would have a much larger following but there’s no zombies and gore so people say “it doesn’t make sense”. It doesn’t make sense cause it’s not holding their attention because no one is eating someone’s brain or shooting at people constantly that’s sad to me…

The show has gotten better but it is still very campy, there is very little moving the story that just keeps changing for no reason.
The main character seems to have gotten over her disorder in the second season, well just because.
They changed the scuba suit to a padded leather suit, so yeah.
Would have been better had the writers known what they where doing from the start instead of winging it as they went.

    1. jolly

You sound like you dont listen to the show at all or dont understand it. they changed the suit because 1. It’s more epic and 2. They EXPLAINED it is supposed to keep her safe because of its new technology. She regained her emotions because when she stitched into a live person, it “fixed” her.

    2. Lucy

The suit was changed to help the main character and she got over her disorder because she stitched into a living body instead of a dead one (hints how she got the disorder in the first place). Kind of like how a snakes poison is also the cure.
And the writers had to have known what they were doing. People say that this is a confusing plot and all and that they don’t understand it but thier problem is that they don’t realize that they have missed that big picture. We have not been told what we are supposed to understand. The show is fun in the sense that we have to guess what the goal of it is where as in other shows we typically know the main goal like kill all the zombies and don’t get killed by them, then we have to figure out the obstacles along the way. In “Stitchers” we have no idea what the ending will be. Finding her father is just another obstacle of many. The main goal is yet to be discovered and as it is we can only imagine which gives this show an intriguing twist.

  11. Lisa Belgrove

I love the show. Hopefully we will get to see what happens to her. I hope the show gets renewed.

What a great show, true modem day (not future, past or space junk) sci-fi for a change.

  13. infonaut

even though the memories are in Akashic Records (morphic field of the individual’s past that the brain is by default resonnating with, since brain is NOT a storage, but a processor and ‘antenna’ that accesses various morphic fields) ‘stitching’ into a brain would really make sense as a ‘better connection’ of another individual to tune into (resonate with) that field where the information (thoughts as mental/abstract forms) from that (deceased) person’s mental activity is stored. The thing is – Akashic Records (database of mental activity) are in fact FOREVER. So it is possible under certain conditions (allowed by ‘Karmic mechanism’ or some ‘higher purpose’) for a/any brain to read any Akashic Record. That what glimpses of some ‘past life’ are (incorrectly interpreted as someone’s ‘previous incarnation’)

  14. Summer

My fiance & I absolutely love this show! Best show yet, the actors are terrific! Wish they had more episodes per season, but I’m so glad I found this show to watch! Can’t stand waiting for season 3 to come on! I wanna know what will happen next! Stitchers definitely needs to be renewed all the way up til season 10, 15, 20, or even forever! Its a terrific show & i enjoy watching it! There isn’t anything better then watching them stitch into dead peoples brain to solve murders! Please renew it!

  15. Laurel

Really hoping they renew this show for a third season. This is an amazaing show , really hope there’s going to have more seasons(hopefully at least 5 seasons). I enjoy watching this show soo much, the actors portray such fantastic characters. I wish there was more than 10 episodes per season, but other than that Stitchers is incredible show that I hope gets renewed!

  16. Larry

Love the show and hope it gets another year, hate it when shows get cancer and there is no conclusion to the story, as to whether it makes since, it’s a a sci-fi , a lot of sciences fiction can’t be proven by science, that’s why it’s sciences fiction, if you don’t like fiction then don’t watch it, as for me, it was very intertaining and it took my mind off our crazy world of what is real. People shooting people for no reason, running over people and blowing themselves and innocent people up, what is our world coming to anyway. Keep the show on so we have something to take our minds off reality.

  17. Melanie

The show needs to be put out of its misery. First season cliff-hanger was the same as the second season cliff-hanger, just with the person swapped. Ridiculous. If the writers are already out of original ideas, then just end it. Not to mention the crazy fans who are super disrespectful. Freeform, do us all a favor and end it.

  18. Nancy Hicks

I would be most happy if people who don’t really like a show just stop watching it and allow the rest of us to enjoy it. I really wonder why people spend time posting mean spirited remarks and then bitch about how disrespectful others are.

  19. Michelle Dominick

If you don’t like this show don’t watch it, it’s that simple. I love this show. I’m happy it’s returning for another season. I hope there will be many more

  20. Shena Matos

This is a great show, I want to know what happens. At least finish what you started
