Description: Olympus is a mythological drama series which will take viewers into the action-packed world of humans, Gods and monsters over the course of 13 episodes.

Olympus tells the story of how a few brave men and women banished the Gods to the realm of the unconscious – a place they called the Underworld or the Kingdom of Hades. The series follows the protagonist as he seeks the truth about his past, which may be intertwined with the Gods themselves. Syfy.com

Status: (Updated 2/26/16) At this point, I am going to assume this show has been cancelled. It has been almost a year since its first season started airing and we have yet to hear any word on a second season. It barely registered in the ratings for Syfy, so I have a hard time believing that network wants this one back with all the other development they currently have in the pipeline. Perhaps the Canadian Super Channel (Syfy’s international partner on this venture) will elect to keep it going on their own or with a different partner because this is probably not an expensive series to produce. But until I hear different, I am going to assume this one is done. If anybody has inside news on this show, please pass it along in the comments below.

Update 7/7/15: This one wrapped up its first season averaging just a 0.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic based on the overnights. If it is relying on its Syfy ratings, then I believe its chances of a second season are very slim. But if its international partnerships/financing are strong enough, then maybe it still has a chance.

I agree with Jare Castillo! I just finished the first season and I am hoping for a second season soon. The show brings a whole new perspective into light. The plot’s twists and turns are riveting. Such a great show!

I loved it. It actually had meaningful characters, philosophy. But the final episode was classic sci-fi. Reminded me of Jason, King Kong and other classics. Bring it back.

This is a fair to good offering that, with time, can only get better. Definitely worth another series.

Wow, I literally could not put this series down until I finished. I started it late on Tuesday and watched in all night. The next day I couldn’t sleep until I finished the last 5 episodes. It’s a terrible shame there isn’t a second season.

I would love to see more, but I fully realize that shows like this are a special interest. Still, I thought it was wonderful!

lol I loved this show gutted that there will probably not be a season 2 probably because they failed to create enough “gay scenes” like game of thrones…. is this what tv has come to now?

It failed to take off because it talked about mythology but showed nothing of it. People are caught by the first episode thinking it’s going to be good when they see the cyclops but then there’s nothing else. The dialogues and storyline are very good and keep you hooked but it just gets boring sometimes: I felt there was no real climax and some decisions made no sense (as in the last episode — do they love or hate each other?)

I too happened upon this series on Amazon. And I was at the edge of my seat until the very last second of episode 13. What a wonderful way to play my imagination into reality. To know love and hatred make u so alive. Betrayal ,loyalty and treachery so divine. How seductive this TV series made me want to feel love like no other. The times of God and Goddesses truly are intriguing. Please return your adoring fans with a Season 2.

Just because not many people know of it, it didnt stand out enough for people to watch to reconigse its brilliance and now it is left as a cliffhanger, this show would have been an asset but target audience no longer relies on provocative thought, a shame really

So Netflix just picked up season 1. Hopefully this sparkes enough interest for a season 2, even if it’s only on netflix.

Watched the series in full. Like any first season its a little shaky at the beginning but midway to end was quite good. the actors had found their characters. The way it ended could easily go into a second season, a series of movies or left as is. I hope they work from it as it has a lot of potential.

I wAtched season 1, in it’s entirety, in one day, from a two disk rental at the library.
Not shown in Neflix as of today.
I hope season 2 has been made and will be available.
Very interesting plot, characters and special effects.

HOWWWWW DID OLYMPUS NOT GET A SEASON 2 YET LEGEND OF THE SEEKER HAD 2 SEASONS & IT WAS CRIPE. CGI was awful but such a brilliant story – normally its so easy to predict what will happen in shows but Olympus well and truly kept its viewers guessing. Legit Syfy should invest in promoting a series, August 2017 & i’ve only just watched it. MAKE MOREEEEE PLEASEEEE

The CG was bad but the acting was great. It had a modern Shakespeare feel to it. The way the characters grow and fall is spot on. I loved this show. It ended perfectly all I ask is to remaster the cg lol it was bad. We don’t need endless seasons of great series becoming good and ok to bearable over time.

I think it’s a awesome show that has much more to offer if given the chance. I’m hoping that it comes back I’m sure if it does it will definitely rival other shows like it , I loved xena and Hercules and I think it’s much like them and with the right management it could have the same popularity that they had.

I’m the only one who enjoyed the cgi it seems. The reason is that it created a dreamlike and video game like quality which helped me enter into a world of myth with familiar and unfamiliar characters of antiquity. At this stage getting the original cast back together might not be easy. Maybe Olympus is the new firefly.
