Why Did It End? This series spent some time in the Nielsen Streaming Rankings during its tenure on Hulu, but never counted as a breakout hit. The streamer decided to end the show with its fourteen season, but creator Matt Groening has said “We will rise again”. More on that at this link. Three supersized specials are still planned at Hulu, and those should arrive at some point in 2027.
