Why Was It Cancelled? As with Daredevil and the other Marvel shows on Netflix, this series was a casualty of corporate politics. Disney (which owns Marvel) decided to get into the streaming service game which meant that it would be competing with its own properties if these shows continued on Netflix. In addition, the license fees for the shows were high and Netflix could not work out a deal with Disney that it believed was affordable. Thus all of the Marvel Netflix shows are coming to an end, but they could make a jump to another streaming service at some point. There is currently a fan campaign lobbying for a fourth season of Daredevil, and the other shows could follow that one if it gets revived. Fans of all the Marvel Netflix shows should lend their support in hopes that another platform will pick them up.
