Weekly roundup of science fiction and fantasy shows (as well as movies/specials of note) on the Prime Time TV schedule, also including programs that may be of interest to genre fans. Air dates and times subject to change without notice.
The National Geographic Channel’s docu-drama series Mars returns on Monday for its second season. That one combines a scripted story following a speculative mission to mars interspersed with comments from scientific experts on what to expect from exploring the Red Planet. Then on Wednesday FX’s American Horror Story: Apocalypse has its season finale. Apart from that, it is pretty much business as usual for the week, but business is good for sci fi TV with over two dozen shows currently airing episodes on the broadcast nets and cable channels along with the many offerings on the streaming service. And mid-season is only two months away with the networks already announcing premiere dates. You can get a preliminary look at that schedule at this link and you can see the full Fall schedule at this link.
