Now, in a magical world where brownies, sorcerers, trolls, and other mystical creatures flourish, the adventure continues, as an unlikely group of heroes set off on a dangerous quest to places far beyond their home, where they must face their inner demons and come together to save their world. Why Was It Cancelled? Disney+ announced that this show has ended after one season and that the cast and crew have been released from their contracts.  It has also been removed from streaming on the service.  It cost $106 million to make (though it received $25 million in tax breaks) and it was only watched by 481K households in its first week according to a report by Forbes, making it one of the least-watched Disney+ originals.  It also failed to chart in the Nielsen Streaming Rankings during its first season run.  Series creator Jon Kasdan insists that the show was not cancelled and a second season could still happen at some point in the future.  But it will likely have to move to a new venue, and fans should make a Call to Action on the social networks to improve the chances of it continuing to a second season.

You can keep up with the renewal/cancellation status of this and all the current sci fi and fantasy shows at the Cancellation Watch Page on CancelledSciFi.com.
