Description: The animated comedy series STAR TREK: LOWER DECKS follows the support crew on one of Starfleet’s least important ships, the U.S.S. Cerritos, in 2380. Ensigns Mariner (Tawny Newsome), Boimler (Jack Quaid), Rutherford (Eugene Cordero) and Tendi (Noël Wells) have to keep up with their duties and their social lives, often while the ship is being rocked by a multitude of sci-fi anomalies. Status: Paramount+ has announced that this show will be ending with its upcoming fifth season (which should arrive in Fall 2024), but Jack Quaid–who voices Brad Boimler–made the comment on Instagram: “Hopefully we find a new home”. There has been no official word of the show getting shopped around, but Star Trek: Prodigy did get shifted over to Netflix. If fans were to make some noise, and Lower Decks does have a dedicated following, it is possible that this one could continue on a different venue at some point.
